About this activity

Go underground on a 1-hour walking history tour through Seattle's original neighborhood. Our experienced guides lead small groups through, and beneath, Pioneer Square to the street level that existed in the 1890s. Explore underground pathways that were built more than 120 years ago, learning details on early Seattle history, why these spaces were built, and how they have been used (and misused) over the years. Marvel at how this once Indian encampment has since transformed into one of the 20 largest cities in the United States.

A VALUABLE EXPERIENCE

An absolute delightful tour from start to finish! Our tour guide was great. She was well informed on the subject matter. She was pleasant, engaging and able to answer all are inquisitive questions throughout the tour itself. There is a great gift shop as well.

Learn about Seattle

Worth the price. It is very educational, personal, and fun. If you have an hour and a half to spare it is worth the time and money to learn about the city, but plan on a dry day.

Awesome Experience

This was an excellent tour. The guide was funny and professional. She also knew the history and was very thorough and detailed. Very accommodating. The jokes were good too. I think the humour is what made the tour. I liked learning about the history of Seattle. This is probably the best way to learn it because I wouldn’t get this knowledge anywhere else.

I would recommend!

This was a pretty cool experience! I had no idea all the history and thought it was very interesting. The tour guide was great and made it even better as she had a sense of humor and was very knowledgeable. Something’s to consider: don’t forget to bring a mask. There is some walking involved both underground and on the streets, so bring a hood if it’s raining. I would recommend closed toed shoes as well. I did see some umbrellas available to borrow there as well.
