We arrived early and had the best of views. Well worth the visit. Loved seeing Chihuly In all of its splendor. His work is not to be missed. Enjoyed the video about him and his processes.

Did I absolutely *need* to go to the top of the Space Needle? I thought just seeing it from afar was impressive, and a vital part of visiting Seattle. But I had a day off while on a work trip (my first time in the city!) and I decided I had to do the whole tourist experience. My local coworkers recommended Chihuly, which I didn't know much about - but was thrilled I could bundle the ticket for about a $50 solo day adventure. I visited both on a sunny Saturday in November around 11:30 am (Needle) and 1pm (Chihuly) and it wasn't super crowded. I like that you can stay in either place as long or as little as you'd like during the day. Great views of the city from the Needle, and absolutely STUNNING glass art at Chihuly. (I hadn't known much before going, but was jaw-drop in awe!) There are friendly staff at both places which was incredible, and professional photographers walking around both experiences to help you take great free photos as mementos, which you can download by entering your ticket # online. If you are able to catch the glassblowing demo at Chihuly, definitely stick around, as there are talented individuals showing off this gorgeous art style live, and it's worth the price of admission alone!

Nice touristy activity

This was a good check it off the list type activity. Long but relatively efficient process to get to the top. Nice view of the city but prepare to pack into an elevator both ways. The glass floor was disorienting in a fun way. Definitely reserve a time slot ahead of time!

Poorly Managed

Views are nice but poorly managed timed ticket reservation system. What is the point of a reserved time slot if you still have to wait over an hour in line anyway? 15-20 minutes I can understand but an hour is ridiculous when you have a timed reservation. They need a better system.

If you do it, get the combo ticket to The Chihuly Garden and Glass museum. The exhibits are beautiful.
